Cleveland defeats Brooklyn in NBA Paris

The Cleveland Cavaliers are all smiles during a National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season game in Paris, France.

The Cavaliers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 111-102 in a 2023-2024 NBA regular season game at the Accor Arena in Paris, France on Sunday (Dec. 12).

This is the third time an NBA regular season game has been played in Paris, joining the 2020 Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans and the 2023 Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons.

With the win in Paris, the Cavs improved to 22-15 on a four-game winning streak. They are fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Brooklyn, which lost its second straight game, fell to 16-22 and 10th in the Eastern Conference.

Donovan Mitchell was the star of Cleveland's victory. Mitchell scored a game-high 45 points to go along with 12 rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

The regular-season game was played at the site of the men's and women's basketball tournaments for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

James himself expressed his desire to compete in Paris late last year.
