Every week a job site sits unguarded overnight is a week your project timeline is exposed to a delay that has nothing to do with weather, labor, or supply chain.

Stolen tools and materials don't just cost the replacement value  they cost the lead time to replace them, which on a tight build schedule can push a completion date by weeks.

The fix is unglamorous: after-hours patrols, secured access points, decent lighting. None of it is exciting. All of it is cheaper than the alternative.

Project managers — how is security factored into your risk planning right now? Curious how other builders in Alberta are handling this.
