Doha Quest is Qatar’s first and largest indoor theme park. The experiential destination is built on a 32,000-square-meter space within the capital’s leisure and entertainment hub, Doha Oasis, in the heart of Msheireb. The indoor theme park is also divided into three zones, making it even easier to explore. The three sections, or perhaps more appropriately, the three time dimensions, are:
- Oryxville (past): This section takes you back to a forgotten land of ancient ruins and spellbinding adventures that reflect the Arabian heritage.
- City of Imagination (present): Described as a ‘gleaming cityscape,’ this section is all about the present and is designed around the idea of travel through time and space.
- Gravity (future): Step into this futuristic spaceport that will take you on galactic missions that are sure to defy gravity.
When it comes to dining options, Quest is home to four different food and beverage outlets:
- Planet Hollywood
- Quest Café
- Space Cantina
- Sarab Kiosk
For shopping, the Time Quest Store features an array of souvenirs, from T-shirts to keychains.
High-Tech Thrills, Record-Breaking Rides
Doha Quest’s more than 30 rides and attractions comprise an electrifying mix of virtual reality experiences, media-controlled simulators, miniature thrill rides for young guests, family-friendly attractions and edge-of-your-seat rides. Many of these spectacular rides and attractions are in the park’s City of Imagination.
Quest’s signature ride, however, is in Gravity: EpiQ Coaster, hailed by the Guinness World Records as the World’s Tallest Indoor Roller Coaster. Spike, the fun-loving, space-faring hedgehog, will take you through this solar-driven ride as you strap in for a 91 km/h flight around Gravity station. You’ll launch backwards along a vertical twisting spike and drop back down, blasting through a series of aerial manoeuvres and close-call encounters. The ride takes all of 90 seconds.
Another record-breaking ride to experience is the Magma Blast, which Guinness World Records declared the World’s Tallest Indoor Drop Tower. If you want a longer thrill, this would be your ride. It tells the story of a massive research probe tapping into geothermal energy beneath the Earth. The media-enhanced shot and drop tower will take you on an adrenaline-pumping ride for 3 minutes.
For virtual reality (VR) experiences, Quest offers lighthearted entertainment with the VR Fun Station and pulse-racing action with Glide with Firnas.
At the VR Fun Station, two people can enjoy several virtual adventures. At Glide with Firnas, two people can use VR glasses to immerse themselves in the thrill of paragliding.
For group fun and excitement, check out Quest’s 3D experiences. You have two options: Wings of Destiny, which takes you on a 4-minute journey inside the Flying Time Machine, and Legend of the Golden Oryx, which takes you on a 5-minute odyssey into a fantasy realm filled with magical oryxes and the mythical Golden Oryx.
Family-Friendly Rides at Doha Quest
Amid all the futuristic, gravity-defying adventures, Quest still features classic theme park attractions families have come to love. There is the enchanting Carousel, a delightful ride for the young and the young at heart, and the Oryx Express, an exciting roller coaster built for families. It’s not as pulse-racing as the EpiQ Coaster, but it’s still quite the thrilling ride.
Other family-friendly rides include Spike’s Astro Tower, which tells the story of a fuel-harvesting process with adorable characters; Fly with Flap, a one-person ride that takes you up a towering spire; and Time Travel, a unique ride for families that features four rotating arms in fast intermeshing orbits.
For the youngest members of the family, Quest’s Playground features two levels of play area. It has tunnel tubes, slides, hanging props, and giant balls that kids as young as three can explore. It’s located in the City of Imagination, along with other kid-friendly rides, such as the Mini Ferris Wheel, Magic Bike Ride and Pirate Ship.
Families can play an action-packed laser tag game at Laser Oasis, located in Oryxville. It’s the perfect activity for competitive families who enjoy tactical fun.
For fun, classic carnival-style games, Quest features Balloon Bust, Roll-A-Ball, Bazooka Blast and Hotshot Basketball.
Tech, Fun and Comfort Under One Roof
Doha Quest is available for corporate bookings, school field trips and epic birthday parties. The indoor theme park offers birthday packages for a minimum of 10 guests, which include a themed cake, party host and access to more than 30 rides and attractions.
When you book your Doha Quest tickets, you’ll notice that some rides and attractions may not be included, like the racing simulators. If your kids love the thrill of a racing simulator, you’ll have to get separate tickets for the Quest for Speed and Oryx Speedway.
The iFLY Quest is also a separate cost. Located in the City of Imagination, iFLY Quest is an indoor diving experience. You’ll soar through the air in a state-of-the-art vertical wind tunnel and experience the thrill of free-fall with guidance from expert instructors. iFLY Quest is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced skydivers.
