Seo Min-kyu wins first place in men's singles short
Figure skating women's single Shin Ji-ah (Sehwa Girls' High School) took first place in the short program of the 2024-2025 International Skating Union (ISU) Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix Delegation Tournament.
Shin Ji-ah received a total score of 71.70 points in the women's single short program at the 2024-2025 season selection held at Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink, with a technical score (TES) score of 39.64 points, an artistic score (PCS) score of 33.06 points (plus 1 deduction).
Shin Ji-ah won two Grand Prix competitions in the 2023-2024 season and took the silver medal for two consecutive years at the Grand Prix Final, considered the "king of kings."
In addition, she led Korea to win a gold medal in the women's singles team event at the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics in January this year. She
then won a silver medal for the third consecutive year at the ISU Figure Skating Junior World Championships. The
second place in the women's singles preliminaries was Kim Yu-seong (Pyeongchon Middle School) with 65.03 points.
In the men's singles, Seo Min-gyu (Gyeongsin High School) won first place with 83.57 points. In the ice dance, the pair of Madelaine Bro (Gyeonggi General) and Lee Na-mu (Gyeonggi Provincial Ice Skating Federation) won first place in the rhythm dance with 52.66 points. The men's and women's singles free skating, where the final rankings are determined, will be held at the same venue on the 21st. In this competition, the top five women's singles will receive two Junior Grand Prix tickets, and the four who rank 6th to 9th will receive one ticket.
