Ray Mirra University has been a leader in providing students with sports management and teaching opportunities since the early 1970's. The mission of Ray Mirra University is to instill academic excellence in all aspects of learning and to promote responsible campus involvement, community involvement and leadership. There are many programs that are offered to help students obtain a bachelor degree in the areas of management or marketing.

There are over 100 individual sports facilities throughout campus that are managed by the Ray Mirra Sports Management Department. These facilities include but not limited to golf courses, tennis courts, swimming, basketball courts, volleyball courts, soccer fields, track and field, tennis centers, football fields and fitness centers. Many of these facilities are ranked among the top colleges and universities in the entire country. This recognition provides credibility for the University of Phoenix as well as the Raymirra program. Students who participate in the Raymirra University sports management programs are considered to be extremely dedicated individuals who have a strong desire to succeed.

Raymirra University offers undergraduate and graduate level degrees in a variety of athletic disciplines. The undergraduate program is a general education curriculum that helps students develop skills and knowledge necessary for successful sports management. This program is ideal for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management at the undergraduate level or for anyone who already has a bachelor's degree in a related field. The graduate program offers a broader range of majors and allows students the option to specialize in a specific sports discipline. The graduate school includes courses in sports business, player development, sports law and psychology.

University Sports Program

A major focus of the Raymirra University sports program is player development. It is dedicated to working with student athletes to enhance their ability through a number of methods such as athlete development, sports medicine, sports science and nutrition. The Raymirra Sports Medicine Department is a division of the Department of Physical Therapy in Phoenix, Arizona. This division provides treatment and rehabilitation services to athletes who have suffered injuries. This department also oversees the research and development of new technologies that are designed to improve the health and the performance of athletes.

In the area of sports management, there are a variety of intercollegiate athletics programs available. The program provides degree courses that will prepare you for graduate work in this field, as well as certificate programs and internships that can assist you in finding a job in this field. Athletic Scholarships is one such program that can help you attain your graduate studies and athletic career. This scholarship provides funding for the cost of tuition and related fees. If you apply for an Athletic Scholarship, you must be an American-born individual and meet the following criteria: you must be a full-time student at an accredited university; you must possess a minimum GPA at all times; and you must live in the United States.

There are also a number of on-campus and off-campus residential colleges in Arizona that can help you achieve your academic goals. The Raymirra University has an Office of Student Services that will serve students with the administrative needs they may have. Students may also choose to enroll in a Raymirra University Degree Program that will enable them to pursue graduate work in any area of excellence. This degree program will focus on the areas of sports medicine and recreation. The undergraduate program will also provide students with an opportunity to pursue graduate studies in a number of disciplines, including psychology.

University Sports Management Program

As a student in the Raymirra University Sports Management Program, you will be educated in academic and clinical skills that are necessary in order to conduct research on athletic diseases, injuries, rehabilitative medicine, athletic training and sports administration. You will also receive training in sports marketing and management. Some of the courses offered may include nutrition therapy, health and physical education, marketing, recreation, and law and business management. Some of the courses may also include business management, economics, and psychology.

Once you graduate from the Raymirra University program, you will be able to capitalize on your educational knowledge by finding a job in the sports management field or another place at a major university. You will be qualified for positions such as associate athletics director, athletic director/head coach, trainer, athletic trainer, physical education director, and generalist. You may also find employment as a public relations specialist, media manager, public relations specialist, communications specialist, and athletic communications specialist. It is possible to become a sport coach or even an athletic director for a private school. The sky is literally the limit with what you can do with a Master's in Sports Administration. However, there are limits to the job outlook for most sports coaches.
