Why Hearing Aid Maintenance Matters

Daily Cleaning Routine (5 Minutes)

Step 1: Wipe the Outer Shell

Use a soft, dry cloth or tissue to wipe the entire body of the hearing aid gently. Remove any oil, sweat, or skin debris from the surface. Do this every evening after removing the device.

Step 2: Clear the Sound Port and Microphone Openings

Use the small wax-removal brush that came with your hearing aid to gently sweep the sound port (the small opening through which sound enters the ear). Brush in a downward motion so the wax falls away rather than being pushed in.

Step 3: Check the Wax Filter (or Wax Guard)

Step 4: Open the Battery Door
