Snapmaker is proud to announce the release of its latest generation of 3-in-1 3D printers - the Artisan. With a price tag of $2,999, the Artisan is larger, stronger, and more accessible than ever before, making it the ultimate desktop powerhouse for all your 3D printing, CNC carving, and laser engraving needs.
The Snapmaker Artisan has been honored with the CESS 2023 Innovation Award, an annual competition that recognizes outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. The Artisan was one of the two 3D printers to win this award, cementing its position as a top-of-the-line 3D printer in the market.
One of the standout features of the Artisan is its large work area, measuring 400 mm × 400 mm × 400 mm. This means that you can create big or multiple objects as you please without having to put your ideas on hold due to limited space.
Compared to its predecessor, the Snapmaker 2.0, the Artisan boasts more powerful 3D printing capabilities, with improved printing speed, precision, filament compatibility, and accessibility. High-quality 3D printing is now a snap, thanks to the optimized transmission system and motion control algorithm. The Artisan features ± 0.1 mm dimensional accuracy when printing at a high speed of 180 mm/s.
The Artisan's dual-extrusion 3D printing module allows for fast and easy swapping of tool heads and platforms, as well as hot ends. Luban, the Artisan's software, detects the nozzle sizes and types and offers customized configurations, enabling you to make your prototypes, high-strength parts, or whatever is needed for your projects. Additionally, the motor built into the dual extrusion module allows for faster and quieter dual-extrusion 3D printing.
The Artisan's dual-extrusion 3D printing module supports PVA, HIPS, and other dissolvable materials, making complex geometry no longer a problem. Simply soak the print, and the supports will dissolve, leaving the model with smooth surface finishes.
The Artisan also features a zone-heated bed that saves time and power. The bed has a 260 × 260 mm high-temperature zone (inner zone) that can reach 110°C, while the highest temperature of the outer zone is 80°C. This means that while your model is placed within the inner zone, which heats up to 60°C in only 2–3 minutes, the outer zone won't be heated, saving time and energy.
Calibrating the Artisan is a breeze, with the 3-step process automatically leveling the heated bed, calibrating the Z offset of the two extruders, and calibrating the XY offset with a semi-auto program. This allows for dual-material or bicolor printing with perfect adhesion and alignment.
With the latest 10W laser module, the Artisan is capable of faster and deeper cutting on more materials and delivering refined laser engraving. The laser module can engrave at a speed as high as 6000 mm/min while cutting through wood as thick as 8 mm in a single pass. This is up to 8 times faster than the 1.6W Laser Module.
The laser module of the Artisan is not just about strength but finesse, empowered by the laser beam splitters and beam shaping optics. The module features a 10W high power and an ultra-fine laser focus (0.05 mm × 0.2 mm), allowing for high-quality laser works with impeccable details.
Including a 200W CNC Module, Artisan offers you a new desktop CNC experience while maintaining the ER11 collet, customizable clamp sets, and dust-proof construction that are widely praised by users.
For milling hardwoods like beech, the CNC module of Artisan is six times faster than Snapmaker 2.0 thanks to increases in power and maximum spindle speed of 300% and 50%, respectively.
With a dimensional precision of up to 0.2 mm, the high-rigidity linear modules and high-speed spindle enable the CNC module to carve or cut smoothly on a variety of materials.
