On Sept. 20, 2022, Jin was hit by a drunk driver and collapsed on his way home on an electric kickboard after meeting his friend. Jin was taken to a hospital but failed to regain consciousness, and became brain dead.

According to the Korea Organ Tissue Donation Institute, the family could not let their young and healthy son go like this at the time, and decided to donate in the hope that through donation, someone could see the world with his son's eyes and live a life in which his heart beats.

Jin, who was born in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, as the youngest of one son and one daughter, was a bright and positive personality, and was a friendly friend who always approached someone in need first.

Jin, who has been a soccer player for more than 10 years, dreamed of becoming the next Son Heung-min since he was young, played for the Incheon United youth team in high school and studied in Germany for about a year after graduation.

It was difficult for the family to accept the reality that as the time they left their son due to a sudden accident passed, the traces of their son, who had many dreams and was young, gradually disappeared.

Since he was a healthy body who worked out, he saved seven lives and left, so he had the courage to let the media know after two years, hoping that anyone would remember that there was someone who lived this life.

Jin's mother, Kim Bomin, said through the Korea Organ Tissue Donation Institute, "Hoseung, I came to your mom in my dream. You cried and touched your face while yelling, "Where have you been?"
