As the most recent legislative news shows, the Macau Gambling Act is currently under review. Recent amendments give the chief executive of a special region the right to revoke a gambling licence if a company violates national security. Other reasons for termination include threats to public interests, urban security, and non-compliance with contractual obligations.
The Macau Games Committee will conduct a review after the Chief Executive establishes rules to revoke gambling permits. The gambling operator will be able to appeal the ruling. All six gambling licensees in special areas support the new legislation. 파칭코
In the Macau Legislative Council, Commission President Chan Chak-mo stressed that the decision to revoke gambling permits would be applied as administrative law, not as a crime. Criminal proceedings can be extended to 10 years, which can be almost as long as the concession period.
The final reading of the new gambling bill is scheduled for June 2022. The bill provides for six gambling licenses and a three-year extension over a 10-year period.
