Thereβs something magical about riding through the night β when the city sleeps, the highways glow quietly under the streetlights, and itβs just you, your bike, and the sound of the engine. Thatβs exactly how my Noida to Alwar bike trip began.
This ride turned out to be one of the most memorable journeys of my travel life β a mix of calm highways, cool night breeze, and the reward of witnessing a breathtaking sunrise in Alwar at around 6 AM.

My Journey: Starting from Noida at 1 AM
It was around 1 AM when I geared up, checked my camera batteries, strapped on my helmet, and kickstarted the bike. The roads of Noida were silent, and there was this strange thrill in heading out alone at night toward a new destination.
The temperature was perfect for riding β cool but not freezing. I crossed Greater Noida, rode past Yamuna Expressway, and joined the route towards Jewar and Bhiwadi. The highway lights reflected on my visor, and every turn felt like a scene from a cinematic night ride.
I took a quick chai break near Tijara around 4:30 AM β that first sip of hot tea after hours of riding at night felt heavenly. By the time I reached the outskirts of Alwar, the sky had already started to lighten up.
And right there, at around 6 AM, I stopped near an open field β the sunrise over the Aravalli hills was absolutely mesmerizing. That golden light hitting the road, the sound of birds, and the warmth after a cool night ride β it felt like the perfect reward for the entire journey. π
Route & Distance
Distance: Around 200 km (one way)
Route Taken:οΈ Noida β Gurugram β Bhiwadi β Tijara β Alwar
The route is smooth for most parts, with only a few rough patches near the Rajasthan border. If youβre planning your own ride, keep your helmet visor clean, carry a good pair of gloves, and make sure your headlight and action camera mounts are steady for night shooting.
The Ride Experience
What I loved about this ride was the peace of night highways β minimal traffic, calm winds, and the occasional truck lights passing by. Itβs one of those rides where you can hear your thoughts clearly.
As dawn broke, the scenery began to change β open fields, small villages, and the first glimpse of the Aravalli hills in the distance. Riding into Rajasthan felt special β thereβs something about the warm colors of the land that instantly tells you youβve crossed into a new state.
Things to Do and Places to Visit in Alwar
Once I reached Alwar, I spent the day exploring some of its top attractions. Alwar is a blend of history, nature, and culture β and itβs perfect for bikers looking for a short weekend escape.
Here are the must-visit spots:
- Bala Quila (Alwar Fort): The ride uphill is fun and scenic. The view of the city from the top is incredible.
- Siliserh Lake: A peaceful spot surrounded by hills, ideal for drone shots or a relaxing chai break.
- Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri: A beautiful historical structure reflecting old Rajasthani architecture.
- Sariska Tiger Reserve: Just an hour away β perfect if you want to add some adventure and wildlife to your trip.
- Bhangarh Fort (Optional): The famous βhaunted fortβ is around 80 km from Alwar, and the ride there is thrilling!
Food Stops & Local Delights
For bikers, food stops are as important as fuel stops. On my way, I found a cozy dhaba near Tijara, serving hot aloo parathas with curd and tea. It was simple, fresh, and exactly what I needed to recharge after a long night ride.
Once in Alwar, I treated myself to the cityβs famous Alwar Kalakand, a sweet delicacy thatβs been around for generations. Also, if youβre looking for lunch or dinner, Prem Pavitra Bhojnalaya is a must-try for authentic Rajasthani thalis.
