There are some places in India where history doesn’t just stay locked in books — it breathes through stones, arches, and monuments. One such place is Qutub Minar, standing tall in the heart of Delhi. On my recent weekend escape, I decided to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site and capture the journey on my camera lens. The result? An experience that left me spellbound — and a vlog that I can’t wait for you to watch!

First Glimpse of Qutub Minar

As I entered the Qutub complex, the first sight of the 73-meter-high tower instantly made me feel small yet connected to something grander than life. Built in 1193 by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, this minaret is not just an architectural wonder but also a symbol of how history layers itself over centuries. The intricate carvings on red sandstone and marble narrate tales of dynasties that rose and fell but left behind their mark in stone.

The early morning light added magic to the scene — golden hues highlighting the calligraphic inscriptions on the walls. It felt like time had slowed down, and for a while, all the noise of Delhi disappeared.

Stories Carved in Stone

Walking through the ruins around Qutub Minar, I stumbled upon the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, considered the first mosque built in India. The mix of Indo-Islamic architecture is striking — columns from old Hindu and Jain temples beautifully blended into Islamic design. Every pillar seemed to whisper its own legend.

Then there’s the famous Iron Pillar, standing tall and rust-free even after 1600 years. Legends say if you can wrap your arms around it with your back turned, your wish will come true. While the pillar is now fenced for preservation, just being close to it was a surreal feeling.

Why This Place is Special

What struck me most was how Qutub Minar is not just a tourist spot; it’s a time capsule. Families were picnicking in the gardens, students were sketching the tower, and travelers like me were soaking in the vibes. It’s a reminder that history doesn’t belong to textbooks alone — it lives, breathes, and coexists with our present.

Capturing It All in My Vlog

While words can only describe so much, visuals truly bring out the beauty of Qutub Minar. From drone shots of the towering minaret to close-ups of the carvings, I’ve tried to capture every detail in my vlog. You’ll walk with me through the lush lawns, peek into the mosque ruins, and feel the awe as I narrate the stories of this monument.

My visit to Qutub Minar wasn’t just sightseeing — it was about connecting with a slice of history that still stands strong in the middle of modern Delhi. As the sun set behind the minaret, casting long shadows across the gardens, I felt grateful to witness something so timeless.
