As the head of the team, I humbly accept and apologize for the criticism that is being put on me and the KFA. We will promptly appoint a new power reinforcement committee and chairman to proceed with the process of appointing a successor."

At the same time, when asked by reporters about his resignation, he said, "I am very interested in the term of office, but during the 2018 general meeting of the Korea Football Association, he proposed a restriction on the term of chairman for four consecutive terms. At that time, the Korean Sports Council and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism did not accept it, and I think this is the answer," adding that he did not intend to serve a second term, but he made an excuse that he had no choice.

Since then, Chairman Chung Mong-gyu has appointed a new head of the Korea Power Enhancement Committee, Jeong Hae-sung. However, he has repeatedly been greedy this time around. Jeong Hae-sung, chairman of the Korea Power Enhancement Committee, concluded that he should appoint an incumbent coach of the K-League as an official coach. He was sharply criticized again this time. The Red Devils, however, have chosen to empower their players. The Red Devils said, "The essence of the Red Devils is to cheer for the Korean national soccer team. The moment they get out of that essence, the Red Devils have no reason to exist. This is the KFA's fault, and there is no reason why players on the field shouldn't be cheered."
