PAINTING AND PALETTE KNIVES

Painting and palette knives are invaluable for working with oil pastels and paint sticks, not only to manipulate and blend and paint, but also to scrape it off the surface when creating textural and sgraffito effects. Sgraffito effects, which are made by scratching through layers of color to reveal the underlying layers, can be done with any sharp object, including selected household and hardware tools.

A. MAHOGANY VENEER PALETTES: Finest quality mahogany faced palettes, supplied in a range of popular sizes and shapes. Ref No: 7002

B. BIRCH PLYWOOD PALETTE: An oblong palette similar in shape to a mahogany No.1, manufactured from top quality birch plywood. Size: 13 3/4″ x 9 3/4″ (350x250mm) Ref No: 7002020

C. MELAMINE FACED PALETTE: A white faced, oblong shaped melamine palette, with wipe clean surface. Size: 11 1/2″x7 1/2″ (290x190mm) Ref No: 7002021

D. EXPENDABLE PALETTE  PADS: Tear-off pad of 50 disposable vegetable parchment palettes, impervious to oil, acrylic or alkyd colour.

E. PLASTIC PALETTE (OBLONG): An oblong plastic palette of convenient size and easy cleaning. Size: 9″ x 6″ (228 x 152mm). Ref No: 7002031

D. EXPENDABLE PALETTE PADS: Tear-off pad of 50 disposable vegetable parchment palettes, impervious to oil, acrylic or alkyd colour.

E. PLASTIC PALETTE (OBLONG): An oblong plastic palette of convenient size and easy cleaning. Size: 9″ x 6″ (228 x 152mm)

F. COMPACT ACRYLICS PALETTE: This economical palette is the smaller of our two palettes measuring 360 x 245 x 15mm. It is of a traditional palette shape with thumb hole and has a removable lid. In addition to the main palette area there are 4 additional integral mixing wells. The palette contains 3 sheets of absorbent reservoir paper and 12 sheets of membrane paper.

G. DELUXE ACRYLICS PALETTE: This larger Deluxe Palette features a larger mixing area and measures 500 x 315 x 35mm. Other features include:-5 separate mixing wells which may also be used as 60ml tube storage well; 2 small mixing wells and the lid incorporates a further 4 mixing areas. The palette contains 3 sheets of absorbent reservoir paper and 12 sheets of membrane paper.

H. ACRYLICS PALETTE REFILL PACKS: These two refill packs for our acrylics palettes each contain 3 sheets of absorbent reservoir paper and 12 sheets of membrane paper.

I. PLASTIC PALETTE KNIFE: An economical moulded plastic knife, suitable for use with oil, acrylic and alkyd colour.

J. PALETTE KNIVES: These knives feature a straight seel blade and wooden handle in a choice of 2 sizes.

K. No.3 PALETTE KNIFE: Similar to Nos. 1 and 2 Palette Knives, this model features a narrower 4″ flexible steel blade and wooden handle.

L. CRANKED BLADE PALETTE KNIVES: These knives feature flat steel blades with a cranked shank and wooden handle. Available in a choice of 2 sizes.
