On the eastern corner of the Hoy Kabah is the Black Stone, also called Hajra e Aswad or The Stone of Heaven. Muslims believe that this Holy Stone is an Islamic relic that dates back to the time of Hazrat Adam A.S. and Eve A.S. According to Islamic tradition, this stone fell from heaven to show Adam A.S. how to build an altar, which later became the temple on earth. You can kiss the Blackstone by performing the Umrah via booking Umrah Packages From London.

The Black Stone

Hadith also says that this Black Stone came from Jannah and that it was once bright and whiter than milk, but that it turned black because of the sins of those who touched or kissed it. But Adam's altar and Jannah's stone were lost and forgotten during Noah's great flood. Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. later found the Hajra e Aswad where Adam's altar used to be. The angel Jibraeel A.S. told him where to look. Hazrat Ibrahim AS told his son Ismail AS, who is the ancestor of Prophet PBUH, to build a new temple called the Holy Kabah and put the sacred stone in it. The Holy Kabah shows where the holy and the profane meet, and the Hajra e Aswad, which is built into it, is another sign of this as an object that connects Heaven and earth.

As part of the Tawaf ritual, which is done during Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims walk around the Kabah seven times and kiss the Black Stone. It was the Sunnah of the Prophet PBUH to kiss the Holy Kabah. Here are some of the good things about sacred stone:

Hazrat Abdullah Ibn-e-Abbas RA said that Prophet PBUH said, "The Black Stone is a white ruby from the rubies of Jannah. It only turned black because of the sins of those who join Allah's army." It will be brought out as big as Mount Uhud on the Day of Judgment to speak for those who touched or kissed it in the world.

Most of us don't know that Hajra e Aswad was originally white and made of ruby. The holy stone came from Paradise, and if a pilgrim touched it or kissed it in good faith on the Day of Judgment, it would speak up for the pilgrim.

Prophet PBUH said, as told by Hazrat Abdullah Ibn-e-Abbas, "This stone will have a tongue and two lips on the Day of Judgment to testify for those who touched it."

Ibn-e-Abbas heard that Allah's Messenger said, "When the Black Stone came down from Jannah, it was whiter than milk, but the sins of the sons of Adam A.S. turned it black."

Hazrat Ibn-e-Umar said, "I heard the Prophet SAW say, "Touching them both (The Black Stone and Rukh e Yamani) is an atonement for sins."

When the second Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Umar Ibn-al-Khattab RA, came to kiss the Hajra e Aswad, he said in front of everyone, "I know you are a stone that can't hurt or help anyone. I wouldn't have kissed you if Allah's Messenger hadn't kissed you.

Hazrat Ali, the brother of the Prophet (PBUH), told Umar (RA):

"This stone can help and hurt them in an undeniable way. In the Quran, Allah SWT says that he made people from Adam's children. He then made them watch themselves and asked, "Am I not your creator?" All of them are adamant about this. That's why Allah SWT wrote this proof. And this stone (Hajra e Aswad) has eyes, ears, and a tongue, and it opened its mouth when Allah told it to. He put that proof in the stone and told all the people who come to Hajj to testify to it.

The same thing also came in a different way, and that different way was:

During Hajj, Umar RA stood in front of the Black Stone of the Kabah and spoke to it:

"You're just a stone, Black Stone. You don't help or hurt anyone, but the Messenger of Allah gave you a great honour, so I'll honour you too. Hazrat Ali RA walked up to him and asked, "Omar RA, why are you talking like this?" The Lord of the Worlds told us that the Black stone used to be an angel and is aware of what is going on. He will say something on the Day of Judgment. During the Hajj, he sees all the pilgrims who walk in front of him, and their names are written in a book in front of him. In it, he writes down their names and tells them about them on the Day of Judgment, because the Black Stone also has a mouth that he will use then.
