Programming via Android™ App or PC Software
Each NAP™ 16 comes with a USB flash drive with app and PC software. You can easily create a protocol and program the mixing speed, sample temperature, and magnetization parameters using the NAP™ 16. The NAP™ 16 app allows you to transfer the saved protocols to the instrument via Bluetooth or the included barcode scanner. The PC software can be used for programming and transferring via USB or barcode scanner. Users also have access to free, lifetime app updates to access newly available features, as and when introduced.
QR Code Scanning System
A handheld scanner that comes with each NAP™ 16 serves as a convenient, quick method to load a protocol onto the instrument. Once a protocol is created or opened on a companion Android device or PC, a QR code is displayed. Users can simply scan the QR code to transfer the protocol instantly. QR codes are also available in kit instruction manuals.
Protocol Optimization

You can store up to 100 protocol files in the NAP™ 16’s internal memory. These can also be transferred between instruments or to a computer. The control panel on the top of the instrument allows for selecting stored protocols and instrument control quickly. During sample processing, run parameters and operating status are displayed.
Sample Temperature Control
You can significantly improve results by heating sample mixtures during the lysis and elution. The NAP™ 16 allows heating strips on the sample platform to be set to any temperature between +5°C to 120°C. There are two cooling fans to maintain the ambient temperature inside the instrument and the temperature of the heating strips.
UV Sterilization
An ultraviolet sterilization lamp in the processing chamber effectively eliminates most bacterial, viral and stray genomic DNA contaminants.
