The year 2022 may seem like it’s in the distant future, but think of how long you’ve used your mobile phone and how much it has changed since then. Now imagine how much more advanced and advanced our phones will be in six years, let alone 12 years from now. The mobile app industry changes quickly, so if you want to stay relevant and ahead of the competition, you need to keep up with the latest technologies and trends in the marketplace. What kind of apps will people be building by 2022? What type of framework will developers need to make those applications?

Swiftic

If you’re a Swift programmer or plan to become one, you’ll be happy to know that Swiftic is a native iOS development framework that can make your work much more efficient. Its core features include Xcode integration and app distribution through Apple Store. LinkedIn released the official version of Swiftic on January 17, 2016, but it will likely undergo several significant changes over the next few years.

Native Scripts

Ionic (cross-platform native and hybrid app development) and NativeScript (native app development for Android, iOS, and more). The latter is currently maintained by Telerik, which also owns Kendo UI. NativeScript lets you build mobile apps for any device using technologies you already know, like JavaScript, Angular, or Vue.js.

It is worth noting that Google also announced Flutter SDK at its I/O 2017 conference back in May. The framework could help companies build native mobile apps for both Android and iOS. The technology will initially be offered as an early access preview for developers. Google explained that Flutter uses a new approach to rendering graphics and layouts by managing these tasks directly on a device’s GPU via Skia and OpenGLES.

React Native

Facebook created React Native to be used for building native apps on both iOS and Android. The same codebase can be deployed to either platform, with a few tweaks here and there. It’s already being used by Facebook, Walmart, PayPal, Skype, and a slew of other famous companies. You may also hear it referred to as React-Native or RN.

It’s designed to use a declarative, UI-centric approach for rapid development and excellent performance. Here are some reasons why we believe it will be one of the most popular frameworks for mobile app development in 2022.

Xamarin

This developer platform allows developers to create apps across multiple operating systems like Android, iOS, and Windows. With Microsoft behind it, it’s no wonder Xamarin has become so popular; Microsoft acquired them in 2016 for over $400 million. Since then, they’ve continued to grow and release new features, including Xamarin Live Player. They also launched Xamarin Workbooks which allow you to build mobile apps without writing code.

Corona SDK

According to Forbes, Corona SDK is currently one of the top app development frameworks on mobile platforms. Corona’s interface is easy to use, enabling developers to create games and apps very quickly. Many third-party libraries and templates are available for developers through forums that have made a large community of users (i.e., social media accounts and discussion boards). In terms of price, there are two options for creators who want to use Corona: paid ($99 per month) or free with ads.
