I have been involved in sports since my school days. I have participated in college, inter-college, and even university-level tournaments. I was living in Franklin, and here I also have a fitness coach. Having trained with him, I have won many medals and trophies. But after my college years, I have to move from that city to another for my career.

When I moved to Nashville, I joined a random gym. I was unaware that I still needed professional help in my sport, as I had been in this sport for years. But when it came to the time of marathons, I ended up at the halfway point and had an injury in my knee. And seriously, I was in bed for more than 3 months.

When I came back to the track, I repeated the mistake. Again, I trained myself with him. This time, I was badly hurt in my lower back. I was completely in bed. I was even unable to walk. And seriously, it took more than 2 years to get back on my feet.

Once during my recovery phase, I had resigned myself to the fact that, let alone running, I might perhaps never even be able to walk on my own feet again. Because back-to-back, I was having injuries in my joints.

But thanks to my physician, who helped me to stand on my feet with his therapy sessions. Once during a consultation session, he advised me that Dude, don’t you think that the root of this situation lies in your choice of a fitness trainer?

I was like, “What? Why are you saying this? He replied to me that, Think of how you were in this sport for many years, and why these injuries are happening since you moved to Nashville?

I too was totally with him on that. I nodded at his statement.

Then he advised me, "Friend, change your trainer." I don't know why it never occurred to me before that all of this has been happening only since I started working with this trainer.

I haven’t waited for a second and started to find a certified sports fitness trainer in Nashville. I googled “certified sports fitness trainer near me”. Google showed me a list of the top 10 in Nashville. I started to check their reviews and shortlisted Basics and Beyond fitness & nutrition. When I contacted them, I approached Dan!

He helped me recover from my back injury. He planned a routine for me that suited my fitness level, which means he knows how much I was capable of performing any physical activity. He subtly increases the intensity of my activities, resulting in a positive change to my health. And after that, he helped me to get back to that strength and confidence that I used to have before. And still now, I am having fitness sessions with him. He not only helped me with post-injury recovery, but has also been guiding me with personalised sessions. Another best part is that he also provides me with in-home personal training that helps me a lot.

And yeah, all thanks to Dan! Who helped me to get back on my feet. And my aim in writing this article, sharing my experience, is to let you, the readers, know how not paying attention to a certified sports fitness trainer can lead you to deadly conditions.
