What do you want to engrave?  

When choosing a CNC machine or Portable Laser Engraver, the most important thing to consider is what material you will be engraving. The material type will determine if it can be engraved and what setup, including the use of assist gases, it should be used with. It also determines whether it is profitable enough to be cut on the laser.  All materials can be cut using a fiber laser system, including aluminum and stainless steel. There are limitations, however, such as not being able to cut 1-inch aluminum or 2 inches of steel, plastics, pieces of vinyl, and many other materials. A fiber laser cutting system's cutting capacity is limited to a certain point. This is where the machine range is at its maximum, and cutting is very easy.
