More blood can enter the penis to achieve an erection because it relaxes the blood vessels there. In cases of pulmonary arterial hypertension, it is also effective.

How should this medicine be used
It is available as an oral tablet and an injectable that is injected into a vein. The usual dosage for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension is three times per day.
