The severe tropical cyclone Gabrielle, which hit New Zealand in 2023, caused many damages. That is why the Government has announced the launch of the Recovery Visa for migrant workers to assist almost all recovery efforts in the wake of devastation.
This is a short-term visa that allows the country's employers to sponsor migrants to visit and work on emergency responses. Specialist professionals, including insurance assessors, skilled engineers, and technicians, are required to work with onshore experts.
