A note on where we came from, where we're going, and what this community is really about.
Let me tell you something I don't share often.
I was a broke college kid who couldn't afford a car. My first job was janitorial work not because I chose it, but because it was the only job I could walk to. I ate whatever I could afford. I scraped by.
But something in me refused to accept that as the whole story.
So I read everything I could about money, self-improvement, and building a better life. I worked hard, landed a good job after graduation, and eventually got what I thought was my dream role. Then reality hit: 60, 80, sometimes 100-hour weeks. No sleep. No health. No life.
I quit.
To pay the bills, I started freelance consulting. It worked. Eventually, a satisfied client asked me to become president of their company a business in the make-money-online space. And in that role, I watched millions of people chase financial freedom through online businesses.
What I saw bothered me.
People were drowning in scattered advice, affiliate-link-stuffed blog posts, and AI-generated surface-level answers. Everyone was researching endlessly and acting never. The tools meant to help were making things worse not because people weren't trying, but because the information landscape was broken.
That's why I built Moonlite.
