Every Telecom License holder must timely submit their DoT compliance to the Telecom Authority before the expiry of the term.
DOT Compliance requirements
DoT Compliance are the annual forms that must be submitted to the Term cell of the WPC wing. There are two kinds of DoT Compliances in India. First is the change in OSP. Suppose there is any updation in the original OSP registration. This change can be anything, such as the director, connectivity, or infrastructure change. In that case, the licensee must inform the Term cell within 15 days of such changes.
The second compliance is the Annual Returns. The second DoT Compliance requirement, i.e., the Annual Return, must be filed half-yearly at the end of the financial year. The returns must includes every detail about the Licensee, such as Client Details, Annual Turnover, Net profit/loss statement, and employee details as specified in the Return Performa. Filing the DoT Compliance requires accuracy. Therefore, you must let the experts handle compliance matters.

Regulatory Framework for DoT Compliance
The regulatory, as well as policy framework which encompasses the communications sector in India, comprises a number of the following:
StatutesRulesRegulationsGuidelinesThe Indian government of India lays these down. The primary statutes regulating the entire Telecom sector include the following:
Indian Telegraph Act of 1885Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act of 1933Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Act of 1997Telecoms PolicyThese statutes are amended from time to time. The latest statute within them is the National Digital Communications Policy of 2018. The Union Government approved it in September 2018. More on Telecom Policy formulation is:
Broadband Policy of 2004Information Technology Act of 2000
In all of these statutes, the Telegraph Act is the primary legislation. In it underlies the telecommunications regulatory framework of India. This Act prescribes various powers of the government to operate as well as regulate the Telecom sector in India.
Hence, the task of granting licences to telecom companies to provide telecom services in the country is assigned to the Department of Telecommunications. This Department comes under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Here, DoT formulates as well as implements the telecoms licensing regime. Consequently, the telecom licences and approvals are granted to various Telcos corporations to carry out the desired Telecom services in the country.
