Chemicals are an important part of the manufacturing industry and are vital to industries such as construction, automobiles, paper, electronics, transportation, and agriculture. Although some chemical product manufacturers produce and sell consumer products such as soap, bleach, and cosmetics, most chemical products are used as intermediate products for other products.

Chemical production is divided into seven parts, six of which will be introduced here: basic chemicals; synthetic materials, including resins, synthetic rubber, man-made and synthetic fibers and filaments; pesticides, including pesticides, fertilizers and other pesticides; paint, Coatings and adhesives; cleaning preparations, including soaps, cleaning compounds and toilet preparations; and other chemical products. The seventh part, medicine and pharmaceutical manufacturing, is a separate industry profile.

Basic chemicals

The basic chemical sector produces various petrochemical products, gases, dyes and pigments. There are a lot of chemical news. Petrochemical products contain carbon and hydrogen and are mainly made from oil and natural gas. The production of organic and inorganic chemicals takes place in this link. Organic chemicals are used in the manufacture of various products, such as dyes, plastics and pharmaceutical products; however, most of these chemicals are used in the production of other chemicals. Industrial inorganic chemicals are usually made from salt, metal compounds, other minerals and the atmosphere. In addition to producing solid and liquid chemicals, companies involved in the manufacture of inorganic chemicals also produce industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and helium. Many inorganic chemicals are used as processing raw materials in the manufacturing process of chemical products, but because they are used as catalysts-chemicals that accelerate or aid reactions, they will not appear in the final product.

Synthetic material

The synthetic materials department produces a variety of finished products and raw materials, including common plastic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polystyrene. Products that can be made from these plastics include speakers, toys, PVC pipes and beverage bottles. The industry also produces plastic materials for mixing and mixing resins according to customer requirements. Automobile manufacturers are especially large users of synthetic materials.

Agrochemicals

The agrochemical sector is the sector with the fewest workers in the chemical industry, providing fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and other agricultural chemicals to farmers and home gardeners. This sector also includes companies involved in the formulation and preparation of agricultural and household pest control chemicals.

Paint, coating and adhesive products

The Paints, Coatings and Adhesive Products Division includes companies that manufacture paints, varnishes, putties, paint removers, sealants, adhesives, glues and caulks. The construction and furniture industries are big customers in this market segment. Other customers include individuals who renovate houses and companies that require high-temperature and anti-corrosion coatings.

Preparation for cleaning

The cleaning preparation part is the only part where most of the production is directly consumer-oriented. This segment includes companies that produce soaps, detergents, and cleaning agents. Cosmetics and toiletries, including perfumes, lotions and toothpaste, are also produced in this area. Homes and businesses use these products in many ways to clean everything from babies to bridges.

Other chemical products

The "Other Chemicals" product sector includes manufacturers of explosives, inks, films, toners, matches and other miscellaneous chemicals. These products are used by consumers or in the manufacture of other products.

Chemicals are generally divided into two categories: commodity chemicals and specialty chemicals. On the one hand, bulk chemical manufacturers produce large quantities of basic, relatively inexpensive compounds in large factories, which are usually dedicated to the production of one chemical. Most of these basic chemicals are used to produce highly refined chemicals used in other industrial consumer products. On the other hand, the more expensive chemicals produced by specialty chemical manufacturers are smaller in quantity and used less frequently. Manufacturers of specialty chemicals usually supply larger chemical companies on a contract basis. Many traditional daily chemical manufacturers are divided into two separate entities, one focusing on daily chemicals and the other focusing on specialty chemicals.
