Ray Mirra pharmaceutical Biography
Ray Mirra Biography is a book written by Ray Mirra, a biochemist. He was a consultant for pharmaceutical companies before becoming a medical consultant. Ray Mirra has had his own book published, 'chemist', and he now writes books on health, nutrition, aging, and alternative medicine.
It should be noted that Ray Mirra is not related to any of the Cohens. Mirra is, however, a great competitor of Dr.ochemistry, Dr. Yohimbe, and Dr. David Simon. His book is a good read, with a lot of practical advice regarding nutrition, and general healthy living.
Pharmaceuticals are Ray Mira's field of expertise. He is a practitioner of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). CAM includes practices such as chiropractic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, meditation, and yoga. While this is not a complete coverage of Mira's work, it is an excellent introduction to his subject. Many readers who are considering a career in pharmaceutical research will want to give this book a careful read.

The book is organized into three parts. Part one describes Mirra's background in chemistry. Part two looks at some of the challenges he faced in developing products and Part three offers his solutions to these problems. These are carefully described and the reader can see how they fit into his overall philosophy of CAM.
Overall, this is a great book for anyone wanting to learn about how the industry works today. A short review would say that although the book is motivating and encourages the reader to take responsibility for their own health and well being, Ray Mirra does tend to make some broad suggestions about lifestyle choices that may not be appropriate. I found that I came away from the book wanting to take a more hands-on approach. I think that this should be common sense but sometimes people need a reminder of how important their own health is to themselves and their families.
Pharmaceutical Industry
What I liked about the book was that Raymond Mirra takes on the most formidable critics of pharmaceuticals. He challenges scientists to re-examine their methods, some of which have been in existence for decades. He points out that drug companies have manipulated data and avoided proper controls, something that he says is "criminal." He also points out the fact that we don't know what side effects some pharmaceutical drugs might have. Some of the side effects, like depression, can actually lead to suicide.
This is definitely a book that someone looking for an inspiration or who has been frustrated with the pharmaceutical industry should read. It's a short read. If you are already familiar with Ray's work, this isn't a hard read. You will need to pick it up, especially if you've had issues with drug companies manipulating information and hiding liabilities. But if you're new to him, I'd recommend it highly.

I enjoyed the sections where Mirra addresses various concerns. He takes on the cosmetic industry and how they manipulate consumers. He even addresses the impact of junk food on our society. These are interesting and thought provoking discussions. Overall, this is a very thought provoking book and one that is well worth the read.
The one thing I think that really struck me was how Ray approaches the issue of cancer and fighting it. It seems that he sees cancer from an environmental standpoint. Environmental factors can play a role in whether or not cancer strikes us. Cancer is more than just a disease that has a genetic component. It has environmental components as well, and that's what this book focuses on.
Lifestyle Choices
He makes the point that not only does he believe that genetics play a large part, but that lifestyle choices also can play a role. This is a good point and is obviously true for most diseases and illnesses. The diet we eat and the water we drink are two things we all should pay attention to. However, he also mentions that stress can play a big part. Our bodies are often not capable of dealing with stress and we can create such an epidemic that causes health problems.

There were a few parts I felt were a bit flimsy and a little irrelevant. For example, when talking about alternative cures, he talked about using herbs and vitamins but didn't explain how exactly they work. Also, when discussing emotional baggage from past trauma, he didn't discuss past personal trauma that may have played a role in the current condition you're in today. It felt like a lot of fluff and didn't cover much of what he covered in the main body of the book. Other than that, this was a very well laid out and concise read with lots of information to help us all.
Overall, this was a very good book on an interesting topic. I think if you are looking for a solid cancer cure eBook, I would recommend this one. If you are looking for a simple, straightforward treatment of cancer, I would recommend another. Either way, I highly recommend this book.
