For the past 30 year, Friends of San Diego Architecture has been hosting stimulating lectures and engaging discussions about the built environment. We are pleased to host their events and public lectures on the third Saturday in the month at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design campus.

On February 18 at 9:15 a.m. I will have the honor of presenting to this group on "Educating Architects in Sustainability."My presentation will focus on the fundamentals of learning process in the field of design and education. It will also discuss the significance in which it is used to make designing decisions, and examples of work done by students and architects. This will include an energy-related design project, as well as a talk on the significance of international travel in influencing design practices.

If you're a practicing designer or architect, an fanatic, student, or even someone who is considering these careers it is an amazing opportunity to find out what it takes for you to become a Citizen Designer or Architect who utilizes environmentally sustainable practices and regenerative ones for the development of buildings and objects of our lives.

The event is open to all students. There is a suggested donation of $5 is suggested for the rest of us. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.
