If a commercial or industrial floor scrubber breaks down, it will not only be a challenge for your cleaning staff but may also require expensive repairs or even a complete replacement of the machine. Therefore, regular routine inspections are very important. The places listed below are a few that our engineers have identified as needing extra care during routine floor scrubber maintenance.

1. Smelly recovery tank

The recovery tank needs to be cleaned after each day of floor scrubber use. The floor scrubber will absorb a significant volume of sewage mixture while cleaning. These stains can quickly build up at the recovery tank\'s bottom and release an unpleasant smell. Workers must therefore meticulously clean the recovery tank after cleaning the floor each day.

2. Solution filter clogged

Clean the filter of the solution tank in time. Some sediment will stay in the filter if it is not cleaned in a timely manner, which will weaken the cleaning effect of the floor scrubber. For this reason, the filter needs to be cleaned with running water each day once the cleaning is complete.

3. Clogged suction port

Verify that the bottom suction port is clean. To guarantee cleaning effectiveness and efficiency, you must use water to clean the tape and suction port if it isn\'t clean.

4. Brush gets tangled

It is normal for the cleaning brush to gather debris, which may include hair and other stringy things. However, the commercial floor scrubber won\'t function correctly and may cause more significant issues down the road if there is an excessive amount of debris tangled in the brushes. Before using your scrubber, have the operator check and clean the brushes to enhance efficiency and prevent motor damage. If the machine\'s brushes aren\'t cleaned, it will kill the machine’s motor. so this is especially important because repairs are expensive.

5. Check the brush and squeegee for wear

Every week, examine the floor scrubber\'s brush plate and squeegee for wear. The floor scrubber\'s high pressure while cleaning will accelerate the wear and tear of the brush plate and squeegee if the floor you clean on a daily basis is rough. Normally, the squeegee is used for roughly six months, and after two to three months of use, the brush plate needs to be replaced based on wear.

6. Scrub brush hose

Take care of the floor scrubber\'s suction pipe by cleaning the tubing that connects the recovery tank to the squeegee. This location is unseen and hidden, making it simple to forget. Remember that even a small local obstruction will significantly reduce the efficacy of absorbing water and dirt, so we must do regular maintenance on it.

7. Take care of the battery

Maintain the battery of the floor scrubber. As the primary component of the floor cleaner, the battery needs to be inspected on a regular basis. When charging, attempt to do so in a dry, ventilated area and avoid charging nonstop for longer than 12 hours. due to the fact that prolonged charging, particularly with older batteries, can present safety risks. The power supply should be adequate for the floor scrubber to prevent unexpected power outages while it is in use.
