Begin Your Journey with Authenticity
A Family Tradition Rooted in Generations
Kene Nete Healing Center was founded in 2022 by Padre Esteban, Urban, and Mama Olinda. What sets this retreat apart is its deep connection to the Shipibo tribe's centuries-old wisdom and healing practices. Located just outside Pahoyan, a Shipibo village up the Amazonian river from Pucallpa, Peru, Kene Nete is more than just a retreat—it's a home where the tradition of Ayahuasca and master plant dietas in Peru is passed down from generation to generation.
The Shipibo family that runs Kene Nete holds an extensive legacy in working with these sacred plants, making them your trusted guides in this transformative journey.

What are "Master plant dietas" and "Teacher plant ceremonies"?

"Master plant dietas" and "Teacher plant ceremonies" refer to journeys with lesser-known but equally potent plant medicines. These experiences often complement the Ayahuasca journey. At Kene Nete, our experienced shamans will tailor a personalized program should you decide to embark on a "Master plant dieta" with us.
Part 1 - The Problem We Seek to Solve
Our Mission: Holistic Healing with Heart
At Kene Nete, we recognize that those who come to our retreat are in search of deeply personal and authentic healing experiences, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. To truly meet their needs, we understand the importance of providing individualized care and attention.
The problem we aim to address is prevalent in many retreats—programs that prioritize revenue over the well-being of their guests. As a result, most participants miss out on the profound healing they seek. Kene Nete was born out of a commitment to change this paradigm.
Part 2 - The Catalyst That Created Kene Nete
Our Origin: From Community Healers to Pioneers
Maestro Esteban and Maestra Orlinda began their journeys as healers within their communities at a young age. Their desire to share their healing gifts with the world led them to spend over 15 years each working in various Westernized retreats in Pucallpa and Iquitos. However, they quickly realized that these retreats often strayed from the authentic Shipibo way of healing.
Despite voicing their concerns to retreat organizers, their voices often went unheard. This realization became the catalyst for change.
Part 3 - An Unlikely Partnership
Our Formation: A Shared Vision of Authenticity
In 2020, Orlinda and Estaban crossed paths with Urban, a Swedish individual exploring alternative healing practices to bring to the Western world. United by their vision of creating an affordable Ayahuasca retreat deeply rooted in ancient healing traditions, just outside their home village, they set out to create Kene Nete. Their dream was to have the retreat run by the family, in strict accordance with the sacred traditions and healing arts of their Shipibo tribe.
Over the following months, the retreat took shape, logistical details were meticulously organized, and Kene Nete welcomed its first guest in April 2021.
Part 4 - Returning to the Roots
