Centrifugal blowers, or fans are one of the most versatile pieces of air moving equipment. This mechanical device pulls in air inside the blower and pushes it out in a direction that is at an angle to the incoming fluid.

Bin Dasmal General Trading provides reliable ventilation fans in the UAE through Nicotra Gebhardt brand which are designed to operate in a variety of environments and applications.

Here are some basic guidelines to consider for selecting the right centrifugal blower for your company needs.

1. Define the application

The first step in selecting a fan is to define the application and system operating requirements. Decide the ambient conditions required for location of the fan equipment and whether the fan will be ducted on the inlet, outlet, or both.

Surroundings

The surroundings in which the fan operates should also be considered to choose a suitable blower-motor combination. An enclosed fan suits the outdoors and provides superior weather cover. A TEFC motor works well in a damp & dusty environment while a radial high-pressure fan is better for hazardous environments like certain factories.

Temperatures

The temperature of the air going through the fan will affect the performance of the fan or blower. If the temperature increases above 250°F, an industrial blower will be installed with a heat slinger.

Airflow

Your fan system can handle the material against the system resistance if the airflow is at an optimum level.  Wrong ducting and improper velocity in the air by the fan also affects its system. Fans in industrial environments need to have the right blades or else dirt will easily collect on its blades.

Some of the features of Nicotra’s hybrid and plug fans as noted below.

Restrictions in space

Space constraints can also affect the fan system as sufficient space needs to be available for duct work, structural support, foundation etc. The fan size, speed and weight should also be determined in case the fan needs to be mounted on a roof or wall.

Nicotra’s hybrid and plug fans have the following features:

Need very low maintenance

Easy to install and maintain

Low noise

High pressure level

Low space requirement

With internal or external control electronics

Among the leading centrifugal fan suppliers, Nicotra comes with 50 years of experience in manufacturing ventilation fans with an integrated efficiency edge. They offer high performance ventilation fans for series requirements and for single project businesses.
