Homemade Mocha Recipe with High on Beans: Step-by-Step Guide

Don't worry, you don't need any fancy equipment or a coffee machine to enjoy a delicious mocha at home. Follow these simple steps and recreate the coffee shop experience in your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

- Your favorite strong instant coffee (we recommend High on Beans Mocha Coffee - )

- Milk or milk alternative (to taste)

- Sugar (to taste)

- Water

- Drinking chocolate or cocoa powder

- Cream for topping (optional)

- Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Equipment:

- Kettle

- Saucepan

- Thermometer

- Your favorite mug 

- Frother

Instructions:

Boil a cup of water in your kettle and add 2 teaspoons of High on Beans Mocha or your chosen instant coffee to your mug. If desired, add sugar to taste at this stage.Add 1  table spoon of drinking chocolate or cocoa powder to the coffee in your mug and froth it with a high quality frother.Pour about 35ml of freshly boiled (not boiling) water into the mug with the instant coffee and chocolate mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.Measure out 250ml of milk and pour it into a saucepan. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature.Heat the milk slowly on medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent boiling. For dairy milk, it should reach 65°C, for soy milk 60°C, and for almond milk 54°C.Once the milk is steamed to the desired temperature, carefully pour it over the chocolate and coffee mixture in your mug.If desired, top your mocha with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles for an extra touch of indulgence.
