Many employers don’t care for the functional resume, and sometimes the chronological resume can be too long. Modern job seekers combine the two because of the following reasons;

A combination resume can be a strategic option for someone who is accomplished in their career. Some experts might see fit to list their awards and honors or recognitions from other industry experts as their skills. Some employers might find this impressive and not focus too much on employment history. Even if they do, they can trust this applicant because of their accomplishments.
