India Allows Duty-Free Paddy Exports to Nepal of up to 6 lakh Tonnes

The Indian government has decided to let Nepal import six lakh tonnes (lt) of paddy rice duty-free, which is thought to help the Himalayan country meet its food security need. The Ministry of Finance said the quantity allowed will be effective from the date of notification – October 31, 2022.
