Having been opened since 2011, Jai Ho Indian Restaurant stills win the hearts of Richmond people and Tourists.
The restaurant offers classical Indian foods with a fresh twist, concentrating on using local fruit and vegetables, freshly ground spices and pure ingredients. Taste is the name of the game and it is understandable why the restaurant is almost always busy and full to the brim.
Jai Ho Indian Restaurant brings together traditional tandoori techniques with modern Indian style to great effect within a pleasant and relaxing backdrop.
We enjoyed tasting our way through the menu.
The Chicken Tikka was a mouth-watering starter. The boneless pieces of chicken were soft, having been roasted to perfection in an old-fashioned clay oven.
For mains, we loved the curries we had. The Butter Chicken was a delightfully mild and creamy curry. It was a group favorite that had us fighting for the last bite. The Punjabi Goat Curry, on the other hand, was extremely soft and drenched in a heavier, full flavor-laden curry, courtesy of being cooked in a variety of delicious spices while the Dal Balti was a vegan curry which was yet another delightful dish. The flavors were solid and were great when combining with the fluffy naan and beady basmati rice.
The dessert menu presents a selection of famous Indian treats. We relished the pistachio kulfi which was delicious, creamy, and amply sweet and also the decadent Gulab jamun.
Jai Ho Indian Restaurant offers a vibrant illustration of Indian food and is definitely worth a visit!
