South Korean breaking b-boys Kim Hong-yeol and Kim Heon-woo have reached the quarterfinals of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games.

The duo cruised to a medal in the men's breaking event at the Archer Canal Sports Park Stadium in Hangzhou, China, on Saturday afternoon (Oct 6).

Breaking, which was introduced at the Asian Games for the first time, started with a qualifying round to determine who would make it to the round of 16. The round of 16 is then divided into four groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the quarterfinals to begin the tournament.

Players must win at least two of the first three rounds. Each round is decided by combining the scores of nine judges based on five factors, including technique, originality, and expression.

In Group A, Kim Hong-yeol dropped his first battle to China's Qi Xiangyu, but rebounded to defeat Thailand's Chinabut Chantharat in his second. He then defeated Sadullaev Jamal (Uzbekistan) to reach the quarterfinals.

In Group B, Kim Heon-woo faced Sun Chen (Chinese Taipei), Kantapoon Rodsat (Thailand), 카지노사이트킴 and Cherov Talgat (Uzbekistan) and advanced without dropping a game.

The quarterfinals will begin on Oct 7. The quarterfinals and final will be played on the same day.
