Little Giant sewage system designed can be placed close to the bottom or at the top of the sewer basin. In the majority of cases the sump pump will be submerged when draining is. The position of the pump in the lower part of receiving draining systems such as septic tanks allow to speed up the transfer of effluents. The intakes of the pumps are located close to the drainage system that is receiving. The proximity of the system for drainage permits the rapid transfer of liquids and solid waste when the system is switched on.
Little Giant has produced a vast array of submersible systems for domestic and commercial use. They work with bulbs. The pumps are equipped with tanks. When liquid and solid wastes are emptied out of this tank, then the amount of waste in the tank grows to a preset amount when the switch is turned to turn it on. The light bulb triggers the pump to turn on and start pumping. When the sewage system is completely empty, the lights are lower to a predetermined level so that the system can turn off.
The power consumption measurement for Little Giant pumps are measured in the horsepower (HP). The rates for horsepower range from 1/2 HP to 1HP. The size and power of sewage pumps is determined by the quantity of waste water and sewage which are carried by the pump. The quantity of wastewater or waste water transported through these Little Giant pumps gets expressed in terms of the gallons of water per hour.
Little Giant water removal system can be difficult to deal with crushed solid waste and liquid waste. But, in some cases, the sewage pumps are required to deal with solid wastes. Solid wastes include substances that go directly into the toilets such as bottles and plastic tubes. In this sense, Little Giant sewage pumps designed for commercial and residential usage have the capacity to handle solid wastes up to 2 inches in diameter. If you are using the sewage system, caution should be taken not to throw large objects into the system as the pumps might not be able to effectively transport them.
