The movie's first half is unquestionably the funniest since we get to see how this oddball group comes together and clumsily tries to connect. The youthful, skilled group complements one another well, and their humorous interaction is occasionally delightful to watch. It's unfortunate that they later split up when things start to become strange since it makes the movie much less entertaining.
Aliens invade the group's fun and games soon after they get to their stag destination, a village in Norway that is well-known among UFO aficionados. Unfortunately, this isn't just a prank pulled by one of Sebastian's buddies; they are actually being attacked by blubbery-looking creatures that wouldn't be out of place in a Doctor Who episode from the 1970s.
They also have to contend with their fellow humans, who the aliens have transformed into zombie-like creatures with glaring green eyes. These aren't their only enemies, though. Fortunately, Seb and his old childhood friend were champions at laser tag, and since his old friend arrived equipped with a laser gun, they have a way of taking out their alien adversaries.
The other members of the group are kidnapped and taken to an alien spacecraft while they battle the foe who threatens to turn them into zombies. In the meantime, a female police officer becomes aware of their situation and joins them in their struggle for survival.
One of the reasons the movie starts to veer off course is when everyone puts their differences aside to fight back against the alien invasion. The scenes that follow become extremely stupid and aren't especially hilarious, in contrast to the rather sharp and clever scenes that came before.
