Dr. Joby John is a Professor of Marketing at the University Of Louisiana Lafayette. A BS(Honours) in Pharmacy from BITS, Pilani Dr. Joby John completed his MBA from Madras University. He has his Ph.D. from the Oklahoma State University, US, and was an instructor at the Oklahoma State University teaching undergraduate students in Marketing, Promotion, and Consumer Behavior.
Before enrolling for the Ph.D. he has served several companies in different positions and has expert knowledge in the field of marketing. He has the credit of publishing several research works in prestigious journals like the European Journal of Marketing, International Marketing Review, Psychological Reports, Journal of Health Care Marketing, as well as several other journals. His works are published in the serves on the Editorial Review Board of International Journal of Service Industries Management. He served as chair of the services
marketing special interest group of the American Marketing Association, and as president of the Boston chapter of the association. He has conducted executive management workshops on topics including service quality, customer service, customer equity, and brand loyalty.
Before moving to the University of Louisiana as the Professor of Marketing he has also served as dean of the B.I. Moody III College of Business at the University of Louisiana at lafayette.
He was also the head of the department of marketing and professor of marketing at Bentley University one of the largest private business schools in the United States, located near Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Joby John has published about 40 research papers and three books including Interactive Services Marketing and Fundamentals of Customer-focused Management: Competing through Service. He has lectured in a dozen
countries.
