Director Isanaye: "We need to instill confidence through international competitions"
The Korea Volleyball Association (Chairman Oh Han-nam) announced the list of men's national team members who will participate in training in Croatia and Spain from the 29th to August 7th.
The men's national team participating in the European training is comprised of players who participated in the 2024 Korea Cup Jecheon International Men's Volleyball Tournament held in Jecheon last week. The
men's national volleyball team, led by coach Isanaye Ramirez, will play friendly matches with the Croatia national team from the 29th to the 31st and with the Spanish national team from August 1st to 5th.
Hwang Taek-ui (Armed Forces Athletic Corps) and Han Tae-jun (Woori Card) will lead the setter line, while Kim Young-jun (Woori Card) and Song Min-geun (Korean Air) will be in charge of the libero position. A
total of four players, including Heo Su-bong (Hyundai Capital), Lim Seong-jin (Korea Electric Power Corporation), Kim Ji-han (Woori Card), and Jeong Han-yong (Korean Air), will be named as outside hitters, while Shin Ho-jin (OK Financial Group) and Lim Dong-hyeok (Armed Forces Athletic Corps) will be named as
opposite blockers. Cha Young-seok (Hyundai Capital), Lee Sang-hyun (Woori Card), Kim Jun-woo (Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance), and Park Chang-seong (OK Financial Group) will be the middle blockers.
Coach Isanaye Lee said, “This spring training is very important and I am looking forward to it in order to achieve the national team’s mid- to long-term goals. In the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup and Korea Cup, our national team showed a more competitive, confident, and developed appearance, while at the same time identifying areas in which we need to develop in the future.” He continued, “It is very important to give the players international experience and confidence that they can compete with them by competing against teams that are relatively superior to our national team in height and strength through European training.” The national team has been training at Inha University since the 26th and is scheduled to depart for Croatia via Incheon International Airport on the 29th. 파워볼사이트
