New minimum Hourly Wage Introduced for Tourism and Hospitality Industry

A new minimum hourly wage requirement has been introduced in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry with effect from April 2023. The Adult Entitlement Wage Variation mandates that employers pay workers at least ninety-five percent of the minimum wage. This update ensures that employees are compensated fairly.

By April 2024, the minimum requirement will increase to cent percent of the median wage in alignment with other sectors. The job profiles listed in brackets with their ANZSCO range between hotel service managers and travel attendants.
