Niseko is known for its snow, but our recent summer trip revealed a whole new side to this alpine gem. We stayed at Aspect Niseko, a stunning luxury apartment nestled in Middle Hirafu, and within minutes of arriving, we knew we’d made the right choice.

The apartment was spacious and filled with natural light, with breathtaking views of Mt. Yotei from our living room. Our kids immediately claimed their rooms while we unpacked and settled into the warm, wood-toned interiors. A private concierge helped us plan our itinerary and recommended we visit the NAC Adventure Centre—just a 5-minute walk from our doorstep.
The next morning, we headed to NAC and were blown away by the range of activities. Our kids loved the treetop rope courses at the NAC Adventure Park, safely guided by expert instructors. In the afternoon, we went whitewater rafting as a family down the Shiribetsu River. It was thrilling, safe, and incredibly scenic. The staff made sure everyone was comfortable—even our youngest, who was a bit nervous at first.

We spent the rest of the week biking, hiking, and even trying stand-up paddleboarding. Every day brought a new adventure, and every evening brought peace and comfort back at Aspect Niseko. We cooked together in the modern kitchen, played games, and watched the sunset over Mt. Yotei.

What made the trip truly special was the balance—high-adrenaline activities during the day and five-star relaxation at night. The location, the service, and the easy access to nature made this one of our most memorable family vacations.
If you’re looking for a refreshing summer escape with both adventure and comfort, I can’t recommend Aspect Niseko enough. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect, explore, and truly unwind.
