Disadvantages of ICSE Board:-

Focus on English: Although English is globally spoken and knowing it can be lucrative in the long run, the undue emphasis on English can be overwhelming for certain students. Students whose parents are not well-versed in the language might face difficulties coping with the foreign language.Marking System: Although the marking system showcases absolute numbers, which helps students map their progress, it can discourage certain students. Some have found the marking scheme to dissuade them more than persuade them.Not Widespread: The number of ICSE board schools in India is less than the CBSE board schools. Hence, enrolling their children in an ICSE school might not be the best option for parents who are constantly moving from one place to another.

Whatever the disadvantages, ICSE board schools are among the most premium schools in the country.
