The space includes a new showroom and an "education hub and repair center for customers," the company\'s senior vice president of sales services and marketing, Chuah Eng Meng, right, told GGRAsia.
The new facility, which covers about 700 square meters (7,535 square feet), will be located near Manila\'s Entertainment City casino district. The move is aimed at supporting the company\'s regional expansion and ensuring its business growth will "continue" for years to come, the executive said.
Mr. Chuah explained that RGB plans to provide training hubs and repair centers in Manila for customers to reduce "downtime" for their EGM.
"We will be able to repair and provide spare parts to local casino resorts within a few hours if they have problems with their machines," said Mr. Chuah. "This is a huge advantage over other solutions that require customers to source parts from elsewhere. By providing these services, we will be able to reduce their downtime."
RGB International announced in late May that it had been selected to supply a total of 1,968 electronic game machines (EGMs) by the Philippine Entertainment Gaming Company (Pagcor), a regulator and casino operator in the Philippines.
The total value of the contract is slightly above US$81.3 million. EGM orders from third-party brands are 888 Light & Wonder, 888 aristocrats, 150 Konami and 42 KL Saberi, according to the company\'s filings.
Pagcor announced upgrades to its casino Philippine chain, including the acquisition of more than 3,300 new slot machines. The modernization effort is said to be carried out prior to initiating a sale plan to the casino Philippine network.
In the Philippines, Mr. Chuah outlined, "We were in the right place at the right time, and we were able to provide a one-stop solution for many of our customers."
RGB\'s senior vice president said the company will achieve an annual record in terms of game console sales in 2024.
"Last year, we built about 4,000 machines. I think we\'re almost surpassing that number. And we\'re only half the year," Chuah observed.
The company\'s business is expected to "continue to grow over the next three to five years," he said, driven by the rollout of new casino resorts in the Philippines and the recovery of other markets such as Macau, Cambodia and Malaysia.
"We expect to see healthy and consistent growth going forward," he concluded.
RGB reported revenue of 210.1 million yuan ($44.5 million) in the first quarter of 2024, up 120.8% from a year ago. The company had a profit of just 22.2 million yuan in the first quarter due to shareholders\' influence.
