It is key to do daily facial cleaning, even if makeup is not used and what changes are the formula and the ingredients of the products
Having a good habit of facial cleansing is one of the most repeated recommendations by dermatologists to maintain healthy skin, however, many people do not know what is the best routine to follow each night and what products to use.
For this reason, to begin with, experts point out that the routine should be divided into two or three parts. The first is to remove make-up, and if makeup is not used, proceed to clean, a procedure that all skins need, including removing sunscreen and impurities. “At night is when the skin regenerates, so it is important to remove make-up since everything we put on the skin is what is absorbed,” explained Daniela Bastidas, makeup & hair artist.
The second recommendation is hydration. In this, what changes is the frequency, because in the case of dry skin it is advisable to do it daily, while for an oily dermis, it is fewer times a week.
On this point, Bastidas added that “this step is important because at the same time it can be used for the skin to absorb these treatments.”
In the case of products, for dry skin, special hydration is required, which does not cover the pores or is too heavy, since this type of skin is very thin and pores tend to clog generating pimples. For oily skin, products with salicylic acid are recommended and have a more astringent property.

Oily skin
At this point, the advice is to use products with salicylic acid. Among the recommendations are those of Neutrogena or Synderm plus. For advice “washing your face with a mild cleanser (not creamy) that, together with Luna 2, will remove dead skin. In addition, with pulsations T-Sonic removes 99% of fats and impurities and 98% of residues ”, they pointed out.
Combination skin
In the case of Foreo, they point out that Luna mini 2 makes gel or foam cleansers penetrate the dermis and is ready for the absorption of alcohol-free toner, light moisturizer, and sunscreen. “The key for this type of skin, the most rebellious of the three, is exfoliation to encourage cell regeneration,” they explained. These people need products for sensitive skin, because it will regulate the PH, and a mild cleansing foam, which has neither astringent nor salicylic acid, works like Kiehl's cleansing foam for combination skin.
Normal to dry
Korean double cleanse is recommended, which are moisturizing and cleansing balms. At this point, the Banila Co or Clinique is advised. In the cleaning phase, this skin does not need soap, but micellar waters or milk that allow the removal of impurities such as those of Mario Badescu or Avène. In the case of Foreo, the recommendation is to use Fresh Foaming or the original soap and then apply a soothing tonic or a moisturizing cream to close the pores and complete the care with the use of sunscreen.
Hydration
On the Neutrogena page, which has several of the products recommended by experts, there is a tutorial to find products according to skin types. In this case, for hydration of normal to dry skin, they recommend Hydro Boost products. Other recommended items are masks and here the UFO works, since it has thermal (heat) and cryogenic (cold) hyper infusion therapies. This product is complemented by a variety of seven Korean formula masks that contain components such as hyaluronic acid and red algae.
Removing make-up
For those who use make-up, it is advisable to follow three steps in the cleaning routine, with special care for the eyes. In the case of combination to oily skin, the dual eye make-up remover is recommended; and for normal to dry, cleaning wipes are also included. Another post-cleanse skincare routine option is from L'Oréal, which recommends Pure VitaminC – an anti-aging serum with 10% pure vitamin C that brightens and firms. Special for oily skin due to its salicylic acid content and sensitive skin due to the soothing Neurosensin.
