Jared McBrearty’s story is a testament to hard work, resilience, and continual growth. A lifelong resident of central Connecticut, Jared began building his work ethic early—starting at just 11 years old with odd jobs and summers spent picking vegetables on local farms. By 16, he stepped into the construction world, beginning with concrete work and steadily working his way up to foreman and then supervisor across multiple companies.
In 2011, Jared took his first major entrepreneurial step by launching a concrete construction business. When winter slowed concrete projects, he teamed up with a close friend to take on interior renovations. That partnership evolved into what would eventually become A1 Home Improvement. Over the last 15 years, Jared’s focus expanded into home renovations and real estate investments, especially house flipping—buying, remodeling, and selling properties with precision and vision.
Jared officially joined A1 Home Improvement in 2022, marking a major turning point. Under his leadership, the company has grown its revenue by an impressive four to five times. He has played a key role in strengthening and expanding the company’s roofing, siding, and window divisions. Jared’s contributions stretch across marketing, sales, operational improvements, and installation procedures. A natural mentor, he takes pride in helping others grow professionally and personally. An avid reader, Jared always prefers a good book over TV.
In 2023, A1 Solar was launched, quickly becoming a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut. With decades of construction expertise and industry veterans on the team, the company is making a powerful impact in the renewable energy space.
Beyond work, Jared is a devoted father who enjoys playing soccer with his 11-year-old son, who often joins him on job sites. Deeply rooted in his community, he remains active in his parish, the Knights of Columbus, and charitable outreach supporting individuals battling addiction.
