The Korean Breaking National Team will advance to the final preliminary round to secure a ticket to the Olympic Games for the first time.

The Korean national team, consisting of B-boys Kim Hong-yeol (Hong10), Kim Heon-woo (Wing), Park In-su (Kill), and B-girls Jeon Ji-ye (Fresh Bella) and Kwon Seong-hee (Starry), will participate in the Breaking Olympics Final Qualifier (OQS) 1 to be held in Shanghai, China starting on the 18th. He will leave for the decisive battle on the 16th to participate in the next competition.

OQS is the final qualifying competition for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in not only breaking, but also sport climbing, skateboarding, and BMX freestyle events, and is held in a festival format. The first competition will be held in Shanghai until May 19th, and the second competition will be held in Budapest, Hungary from June 20th to 23rd.

In Breaking, about 40 male and female athletes will participate according to the cumulative ranking of points earned in competitions held by the International Dance Sports Federation (WDSF) and the universality of participating countries.

Korean athletes must be in the top 7 based on the first and second points combined to receive a ticket to the Olympic finals.

In Korea, all five players, including Kim Hong-yeol, who won a silver medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and became Korea's first breaking Asian Games medalist, and Jeon Ji-ye, who is showing competitiveness on the world stage, all have the potential to qualify for the finals.
