Back when I was a kid struggling to pick a plaything at the toy store and wishing I could have them all, little did I know that's precisely how I'd feel when choosing a motorcycle as an adult. Years later, here I was at the Jawa Yezdi dealership - browsing the fleet of bold and stylish motorcycles with the same energy.

Anyone familiar with my passion for motorcycles would tell you how picky I am on this matter. The Jawa Yezdi motorcycles, however, are a different story altogether. Exploring through their fleet gave me a rare sense of satisfaction and excitement as I tried to figure out which one would be the best.

Finding myself in a Jawa Yezdi dealership

Now that I've mentioned my fastidiousness over motorcycles, you might wonder why I'd choose a brand that entered the Indian market only last year. Well, Jawa Yezdi isn't technically a new brand in India - it built a strong legacy from the 1970s through the 90s. A quick research into Jawa Yezdi's history showed me how it is truly a brand to be reckoned with.

As soon as I got to know about the new Jawa Yezdi dealership nearby, I made up my mind to visit it. That, my friend, is how I found myself in front of the unique retro-classic fleet of Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles.

An unprecedented fusion of the old and the new

The unique design of these motorcycles was the first thing to grab my attention. Each new Jawa and Yezdi motorcycle is a masterpiece - a beautiful fusion of retro and modern design principles.

Take the Yezdi Roadster, for instance. Its bold design and stance are reminiscent of a bygone era, but it also flaunts a modern touch of style and sportiness. The motorcycle packs several sophisticated features, such as a digital speedometer and odometer.   Jawa Perak, with its sleek matte black look, had me fascinated the moment I set my eyes on it. I'd have probably gone for it if I hadn't been on the hunt for a motorcycle designed for off-road adventures.

Eye-catching specs

It's hard to put into words the rush of excitement that took over me once I went over the specs of the new Jawa Yezdi motorcycles. Not only are they among the best in the segment, but these motorcycles offer excellent value for money.

Even the classic Jawa motorcycle boasts a power output of 27.32 PS with its 294.72 cc engine. For a retro classic motorcycle, Jawa's specs are truly impressive.  I was awestruck by the 15.5-litre fuel tank in the Yezdi Adventure - how many motorcycles in the segment can boast a similar fuel capacity? Put together with the impressive Yezdi motorcycle mileage, this makes it the perfect choice for my long-distance trips.

Of course, the motorcycle's strong build and amazing off-road capabilities were equally attractive to my adventurous self.

The Yezdi Roadster and the Scrambler pack impressive specs too, with powerful engines and modern technologies.

A motorcycle for every leisure rider

I was surprised how Jawa Yezdi managed to cater to almost every kind of leisure riding needs with just three motorcycle models. Additionally, the Yezdi motorcycles are available in a wide range of colour options to choose from.

While Yezdi Adventure is the best long-distance cruiser and off-roader, the Roadster is perfect for city streets and open roads. The stylish and sleek Yezdi Scrambler is built to handle long-distance tours and sports riding with similar ease.  In this regard, Jawa 42 Bobber deserves special mention for the comfortable ride quality it offers. Not only does it offer excellent ergonomics, but you may even adjust the seat height if needed.

A worthy purchase

With some guidance from the dealership staff and my own experience with motorcycles, I eventually settled for a matte slick silver Yezdi Adventure. Having owned the ride for a few months now, I'm pretty sure this is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I won't be surprised if the new Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles in India become a hit among motorcycle enthusiasts in the coming years.
