Reels bonus is a payout program, which rewards creators for views on reels posts within 30 days. It makes it possible for creators to earn directly through Instagram & not via paid sponsorship or affiliate programs. Even though Instagram plans to roll out the program globally, it’s currently only available in the United States.
How does the play bonus work?
Instagram pays creators based on the amount of views their reels get. Creators will earn money on every reel that generates at least 1,000 views within 30 days. Here is an overview of how it works:
After you have been accepted into the reel bonus program, you have 30 days to earn the maximum bonus. You can find the expiration date via the bonus tab in the app.You have an option to choose the number of reels to count towards the Reels bonus.
Your payout will be determined by the performance of your reels; the more views, the more you get paid. Don’t forget that earnings per view, will change over time. In the beginning, you will earn more per view. That’s because Instagram wants to make sure smaller creators also will be able to earn money.
Each bonus may vary. It’s known that Instagram provides 3 different bonus caps: $1,200, $8,500 and $35,000. With the $1,200 bonus, you usually have to generate 11 million views.
The bonus earnings depend on how many views you have generated within the 30 days. But don’t worry, even if you don’t manage to hit the maximum amount of views, you still earn a nice amount of money.
