Rapper, singer, composer, and producer B.I am well-known in the K-pop scene. He belongs to the 131 Label and made his solo debut on March 19th, 2021 with the single album "Midnight Blue (Love Streaming)". Before going solo, he was a part of the popular K-pop group iKON.
Early Life
B.I was born in Cheonan, South Korea. He finished his studies at Ilsan Middle School. When he was just 3 years old, he spent around 4 years living in the United States.
Personal Life:
In his spare time, he loves going on walks and playing cards. In his spare time, he used to go bowling or play video games with his former group members. Yang Hyunsuk, the founder of YG Entertainment, saw B.I was someone who could follow in the footsteps of the famous artist G-Dragon.As of 2022, B.I have never had a girlfriend, and he often relies on his imagination for writing songs. He takes inspiration for his music from movies and books since he has fewer personal experiences to draw from. During the show "Mix and Match," there was a moment when he needed a break and went to sit by the Han River. He wanted some time to think and wrote lyrics while sitting there.B.I am close friends with ONE, a former YG rapper.
DEBUT
B.I began his K-pop career after more than two years of preparation. He participated in WIN: Who Is Next in 2013, competing as a member of Team B. B.I kept on his training with YG Entertainment even if his team lost.
It was determined that B.I's side, side B, would be a part of another program called Mix & Match while he was on program Me the Money 3. They formed the group iKon and made their debut together thanks to this show. To the group, they included a trainee by the name of Jung Chan-woo.
B.I. received recognition for his abilities in 2018. He was given a medal for exceptional songwriting at the Melon Music Awards.
