In 1822, he moved into a house on what was then known as Old Broad Street and it was not to be the last time he would be there.
Another notable resident was gilder and carver John George Lohr. The man was not the sexiest in the neighbourhood, but he was a creditable name in his trade. In contrast to his monochrome impression, the Marriage print is done in two stages. First, the design is drawn on a copper plate. After that, a mordant "bite" plate is applied to create recesses.
