If you live in the UAE, chances are you’ve opened the Careem app more often than your fridge. From late-night food cravings to last-minute airport rides, Careem has become an everyday companion for many. It’s one of those apps that quietly sits on your phone — like WhatsApp or Instagram — except this one can actually make your day easier instead of stealing your sleep.

But here’s the real question: Is Careem truly “The Everything App,” or just another platform trying to do it all? To find out, we asked people across the UAE how they use Careem, what they love about it, and what occasionally frustrates them. The answers were both eye-opening and relatable.

Who’s Using Careem?

Careem’s user base spans generations. Our survey found that 48.2% of users are aged between 35–49, followed by 28.2% aged 25–34, and 23.5% above 50. Clearly, Careem’s appeal extends beyond younger, tech-savvy users — it’s embraced by working professionals and families alike. Gender usage is almost perfectly balanced too, with 50.6% female and 49.4% male users.

How Often Do People Use Careem?

Nearly half of UAE respondents use Careem several times a week, making it an integral part of their weekly routine. Around 8.2% use it daily — depending on it for essentials like food delivery, grocery shopping, and commuting. Meanwhile, 31.8% are occasional users who rely on Careem during weekends, special events, or when convenience calls.

This blend shows how Careem has evolved from a simple ride-hailing app to a lifestyle necessity. However, there’s still potential to turn more casual users into regulars through stronger engagement and loyalty initiatives.

What Do People Use Careem For?

The phrase “The Everything App” starts to make sense when you look at what users actually do on it:

  • Ride-hailing — 55.3%
  • Grocery delivery — 54.1%
  • Payments — 20%
  • Other services (laundry, shopping, tickets) — 8.2%

Clearly, food delivery tops the list — proving that in the UAE, solving hunger is still the quickest way to win hearts.

Are People Happy With Careem?

The answer is a resounding yes. Around 76% of users reported being satisfied with Careem’s services. For an app that manages everything from shawarmas to sedans, that’s a strong vote of confidence.

Do UAE Users Believe in “The Everything App”?

About 71.8% of respondents associate Careem’s “Everything App” concept with convenience and variety — showing that the brand’s promise resonates. Only 8.2% find it confusing, while 15.3% think it’s slightly overloaded. The majority, however, appreciate its simplicity and integration.

Careem has successfully communicated that it’s not about doing everything for the sake of it — it’s about making life smoother and faster.

Careem vs. the Competition

When compared to Talabat, Uber, or Noon, Careem emerges as a favorite. Over half (53%) of users believe it performs better than competitors, while 36.5% think it’s on par. This strong satisfaction rate underscores Careem’s deep local insight and customer-first approach.

Is “Everything” Too Much of a Good Thing?

Despite its wide range of services, most users enjoy the “all-in-one” convenience Careem offers. About 46% said they sometimes feel overwhelmed, but it doesn’t affect their overall satisfaction.

  • 64.7% prefer having everything in one app
  • 14.1% prefer specialized apps
  • 18.8% said it depends on the service

In short, UAE users appreciate the efficiency that Careem’s ecosystem brings — even if it occasionally feels like organized chaos.

Can an “Everything App” Truly Excel?

A confident 70.6% of respondents believe an all-in-one app can indeed perform well across categories. That’s a strong endorsement for Careem’s vision. UAE users value ambition and innovation over simplicity, preferring a single, powerful platform to manage their needs.

What Makes Careem Stand Out?

Careem’s success lies in its understanding of local culture and needs. From Arabic-language options to regional payment systems and partnerships with local restaurants, it has built a strong connection with UAE users. Over 70% of users associate Careem with convenience — a testament to its trusted presence in daily life.

The Bigger Picture

Careem’s journey mirrors a larger shift — the rise of super apps in the Middle East. As people seek more efficiency, they prefer fewer apps that do more. Nearly 65% of UAE users in our survey favor an all-in-one experience, aligning perfectly with Careem’s direction.

Ultimately, success in this space isn’t about offering everything — it’s about doing everything well. And right now, if there’s one app in the UAE that’s getting that balance right, it’s Careem — the app that makes everyday life just a little simpler.
