I was to fly to Australia for my further studies and wouldn’t be back home for at least 2 years. I’ve never stayed away from my family and hence this was hard. So, to make it memorable my father planned a trip to the Andamans – a place that was always on my wish list.
It was a 5-day trip and we had everything planned right from the place we were going to stay at to the restaurants that we were gonna try, except my unexpected scuba diving in Andamans plan.

So, the next day, I reached the dive centre in the morning and met my instructor. There was some learning, theoretical to be done before going for the practicals and I was super excited.
We set for the diving spot and before the action, they taught us what a dive knife and a compass are and their uses, some knowledge to flaunt when I go back!!!
And then began the adventure that I was so looking forward to. I practised dive and deep-sea dive both of which was included in my PADI course which is a diving course. At first, it seemed difficult but when you witness the stunning beauty underwater, fear somehow just melts away. All you want is to get more of this experience. It was also great to be in the water for so long and the best part was having lunch on the boat; something I hadn't done before.
We headed back to the diving site only hoping for the next day of this scuba diving in Andamans experience to be as great as this one.
The next day I tried the remaining adventure dives. It was a roller coaster of fun and fear I would say. And what would be better than getting a license in diving?! This scuba diving course in Andamans was an amazing experience and I was eagerly waiting to share my stories with my family at dinner the same day, this time around I knew I would relate to my father’s diving stories more than before.
I think scuba diving in Andamans is a different experience altogether and one should not miss it when in Andamans. The scuba diving course in Andamans price is also quite reasonable and experiencing it is worth it.
